Just like automobiles, every product containing a mechanism requires periodic maintenance to preserve its accuracy and reliability. In cars, the engine operates only while running, but the “engine” of a watch – its movement – works continuously, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The service intervals depend on the type of movement, the way the watch is worn, and the environmental conditions in which it is used. The recommended service periods are as follows:

• • Quartz watch – every 6 years
• • Mechanical, automatic mechanical, and mechanical chronograph – every 3 years
• • Wall, floor, mantel and alarm clocks – every 5 years

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance of the movement, prevents premature wear, and guarantees long-lasting precision.

It is especially important to test the water resistance of your watch every year before the summer season. This procedure should be carried out exclusively in our service center, as we use high-precision equipment that measures the watch’s reaction to pressure, vacuum, and immersion in water, according to its technical specifications.
