WHEN YOU DON’T WEAR YOUR WATCH

  1. Keep your watch away from magnetic fields.
Strong magnetic exposure may affect the accuracy of your watch. Avoid placing it near speakers, refrigerators, mobile phones, laptops, or electric motors. Continuous exposure to magnetic fields may disrupt or completely stop the mechanism.
  2. Keep your automatic watches running.
If you do not wear your automatic watch regularly, it is recommended to use an automatic watch winder. This keeps the mechanism active and prevents the lubricants from thickening, ensuring smooth operation and long-term accuracy.
  3. Do not leave a dead battery inside the watch.
For quartz watches, check periodically if the watch is running. If it has stopped or if the EOL (End Of Life) system is active — the second hand jumps every four seconds — please visit our service center for a battery replacement. Leaving an exhausted battery may cause leakage and damage to the movement.

Modern technologies replace standard batteries with intelligent systems that use motion or light to ensure long-lasting precision and energy efficiency.

Kinetic – developed by SEIKO, it converts wrist movement into electrical energy stored in a capacitor. The watch can run for months or even years without a battery replacement, combining mechanical energy and quartz precision. If the watch remains unworn for a long period, the capacitor will gradually discharge. We recommend placing it in an automatic watch winder or wearing it at least once a month to maintain charge and optimal performance.

Eco-Drive – CITIZEN’s technology uses a solar panel under the dial that captures natural or artificial light and converts it into electricity stored in a rechargeable cell. When fully charged, the watch can operate for up to six months in darkness, and the battery life exceeds ten years. If not exposed to light for long periods, the capacitor may become completely discharged, requiring a longer charging cycle or service inspection. We recommend exposing the watch to light regularly, even during storage.

Solar – used by CASIO, SEIKO, CITIZEN and others. Solar cells convert light into energy, keeping the accumulator charged and reducing the need for battery replacement. Long-term storage in darkness can lead to complete discharge. Regular exposure to sunlight or artificial light is advised to maintain consistent performance. These watches are ecological, reliable and almost maintenance-free.
